According to Public Relations and International Affairs of Qeshm Free Zone Organization, Seyyed MohammadHosein Dakhteh on the sidelines of this world day,in the building of Hara prospect of global Geopark of qeshm in soheilly village, said: Students from the neighboring villages of Mangrove forest, as the main participants of the ceremony, tourism cooperatives in the Hara biosphere reserve, the councils of villages around the Mangrove forest and experts from the JICA, signed the Mangrove Forest Protection Act.
He stated thatKhourKhouran wetland of Qeshm, as a biosphere reserve of Hara, is among the 24 international registered wetlands in our country, adding: Participants emphasized the protection of this wonderful area on the Qeshm island, with the signing of the Code of conduct of Mangrove Forest.
According to the Qeshm Free Zone Organization's Environment Directorate, this report emphasizes that spillage of garbage and detergents in the wetland, and the discharge of petroleum in nature, should be avoided. And in order to preserve groundwater and optimize water consumption, it should also be carefully considered.
Dakhteh stated: The ceremony was held by the Environment Directorate of the Free Zone Organization, in collaboration with the JICA project team, with the aim of receiving comments and research from students from neighboring villages in the Mangrove Marine Forest.
He continued: The launch of a children's book entitled "Let's Play the Children by the Sea", written about children's training on the offspring, was another milestone in Qeshm's World Day of Mangrove.
According to this report, Hara is the name of a tree in size from three to six meters, with green and bright horns and leaves that live in saline waters. And its scientific name (Avicennia marina) has been attributed to Abu Ali Sina(Avicenna), an Iranian philosopher who referred to the natural properties of this plant for the first time.
Hara forest is located in the sea and in the salt water, and this compromise with salt water and inappropriate conditions makes hara an exceptional plant, and its plants have oval-shaped leaves with a greenish and shiny appearance, and behind the leaves is white or gray.
One of the characteristics of Qeshm's tourism is the visit of the majority of tourists visiting the island in southern Iran, from the Mangrove forest in this region.
