According to Public Relations and International affairs of Qeshm Free Zone Organization, Seyed MohammadHashem Dakhteh said: During the past few days, Ehsan Nakhodaii and Iman Nakhodaii, two environmentalists, delivered a traumatic bird to the environmental management of Qeshm Free Zone Organization.
He added: "This Hound valuable species is a rare species, called Elanus caeruleus, and it was first reported on Qeshm Island.
Environment director of Qeshm Free Zone Organization said: The bird was injured in the foot, which was successfully recovered by Dr. Jafari, the veterinarian of the island, and effective treatments, during three days, and was released by the environmental management experts of the Qeshm Free Zone Organization on the island.
Dakhteh continued: The cooperation of environmental partners and timely handling of valuable species damage are among the most important ways to save and preserve wildlife in Qeshm Island.
Elanus caeruleus is a Hound bird of dark hawks. This is the first time that the presence of Elanus caeruleus bird has been reported on Qeshm Island. Previously, reproduction of this bird was reported in Minab County.
